First Time Installation

Note: Your filter element and frame are assembled as a unit. The subsequent shipments will only include the filter media which can be easily installed in this custom frame as noted in the instructions below.

When removing your old filter element from your unit, pay attention as to which way the air flows through the filter. The dirty side is where the air flows into the filter element, or, the clean side is where the air flows from the filter element.

To install, place the filter into your unit so that air flows in the direction indicated by the label on the side of the frame. Air should pass through the white side of the filter, to the colored side, then through the grill to your unit.

From Now On...

1. We've included a pair of gloves for your convenience while handling the filter assembly. Even though there are NO toxic elements in the filter media, the tactifier does seem a bit sticky. If you get any of it on your hands, simply wash off with soap and water.
2. Remove the filter element assembly from your unit, taking notice of t he direction of the label indication on the side of the filter frame.
3. Place the assembly on a flat surface with the grill side down.
4. Slowly pull the element material from around the frame edges. Once free of the frame, roll the dirty filter media and place it into the same plastic wrap your new filter came in.
5. Place the new filter media with the colored side down and roll out to the edges of the frame. Tuck the edges of the media into the frame and work it out flat across the grill
6. Install the clean filter assembly back into your unit following the air flow direction of the label. Once installed, dispose of the gloves and used filter media properly, wash up and you're done!
