Hospitals are mandated by OSHA to
maintain the highest indoor air quality standards for medical hygiene
purposes. Our filter system, already in use in many hospitals, has
been treated with a tactifier and a Spor-AX®
antimicrobial agent which together capture dust and destroy molds,
mildew and fungi that come in contact with it.
Typical air filters capture particles greater than 10 microns in
size. Most molds, fungi, and bacteria, however, could be 100 times
smaller in size. The IAQS filter can capture these minute organisms
and particles which can find their way to the innermost areas of
your lungs when you breathe.

Spor-AX®
Spor-AX® is a biocide. It EFFECTIVELY CONTROLS THE GROWTH of
mold, mildew, algae and fungi on filters. Filters with Spor-AX®
do not support the growth of microbes. Spor-AX® does not require
the presence of water for activation – it is always active.
Spor-AX® is not water-soluble – it cannot leach out. Spor-AX®
is the only product of its kind, which is applied during the mending
of fibers making it a permanent part of the filter media. It does
not off-gas, or leave the filter in any way – it remains active
for the life of the filter.
Spor-AX® is a biocide. It effectively controls the growth of
microorganisms on the filter by interrupting the life-sustaining
functions within their cells.
Spor-AX® is registered by the EPA.
The active ingredient in Spor-AX® is registered by Agriculture
Canada and has clearance for use in formulations under the regulations
of USDA and FDA.
